"day1: take bernina and stay at chur or st moritz.... day2: go to rhine fall"

You might want to spend a day (or two or more) in/near Chur or St Moritz (or nearby).

"day 5 :wengen or grindelwald or wilderwill"

"day 8 ... stay in murren"

Depending on your interests, it might not make sense to relocate to Murren if you will be in Wengen or Grindelwald or anywhere else in the Bernese Oberland beforehand.

Its a beautiful country -- enjoy!

Hi komal,

This is a good plan, but it seems a little rushed to me. I wouldn't just stay in Chur/St. Moritz area for just one night, and I wouldn't switch bases from Wengen to Mürren. Remember that every time you switch bases, you lose about half a day of "outside" time due to the chores of packing up and checking out, then checking in and unpacking again. It might take even longer with a 3-year-old!

Anyway, I would recommend you consider staying in Sils rather than Chur or St. Moritz, as it's a car-free town, and that's one thing you want to do. Neither Grindelwald nor Wilderswil is car-free, so I would stick with either Wengen or Mürren.

Have fun as you plan!

Trains become very boring for 3 year olds. Rheinfalls isn't worth it. Skip it.

St. Moritz isn't worth doing quickly either. Too much train time and not enough downtime.

You do realise if you sleep in Murren you must take a gondola (or train and gondola) to leave town.

Either train to Grutscalp and gondola down to Lauterbrunnen or gondola to Gimmelwald station then change cars to Stechelberg gondola--then post bus or walk to Lauterbrunnen.

I wouuld not do Bern and lake Brienz in a day either, Berne deserves a day to itself. Take your son to see the bears down by the river and take to Gurten Bern's local 'mountain' funicular ride up and down and lovely childrens' playground at the top, and wonderful views over the city. To get to Gurten take the no.9 bus from the bus station outside the rail station to the stop "Gurtenbahn"
