Tuscany region in March?
We travel to Europe only during the off season as we fly space-available. This March we took a lovely week long trip to Germany with our five month old son and husband's parents.
Next year I'd like to head to Italy, rent a house or large apartment for a week, and just enjoy little day trips. Thought about renting a house for day trips to Florence, Sienna, other small towns as well as maybe one overnight trip to Venice.
What kind of weather can we expect in March?

We were there in late March '04, and it snowed one day. It was sunny the week before we arrived, and a little clowdy while we were there. Nothing that altered our plans, however.
Tuscany (Val d'Orcia region) is beautiful that time of year - our favorite season.

Sorry, my initial post was phrased poorly. I've checked websites for historical averages and realize that yes, it will be chilly but no where like March in PA.
At any rate, I was hoping for some responses from others who enjoyed Tuscany (or surrounds) during off seasons such as ourselves. Thanks, Stu!
