It really depends on what you want to see and experience, but I would find a trip that includes Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo, Plitvice Lake National Park, and Split all in 10 days FAR too rushed for my tastes. FWIW, I seriously regret giving Sarajevo only 2.5 days, and there is SOOOooooo much to do from Split that I’m not sure what you would have time to see. And I can’t possibly suggest what YOU would want to cut to make it all fit, as it really is a personal decision.
If you do decide to try this itinerary, consider flying into Sarejevo, train to Mostar, bus to Dubrovnik (sit on the right), bus or ferry to Split, and ONLY then rent a car for the Plitvice Lakes.
Although Korcula would likely be extremely quiet, Hvar Town would likely finally be past its party-hearty high-season days -- I would have thought Oct. among the nicest times to see it....
