10 day trip starting in London, not sure where to go after that
My family and I are planing on going to Europe for 10 days starting the end of march. We know for sure that we want to spend 3 or 4 days in London however we are not sure where we should travel from there. We went to Paris the same time last year for 8 days and loved every minute of our trip. Any suggestions from you travlers??

Paris was going to be my first suggestion but it looks like you've been there before. Brussels Belgium is also a high speed train away if you're looking for something different. One can see most of the sights in a couple of days. Waffles, beer, and chocolates....hmmmmm. Brugges and Ghent are less than a 30 minute train ride from there as well.

You mean in 2 months? From which airport are you flying home?

Have you been to London before? 3 or 4 days is nothing for a first trip to London. I'd stay there for a week (London is much larger than Paris) and spend a few days somewhere else. Could be Amsterdam, or Edinburgh, or Bath/Oxford, or Brussels/Bruges, or York or anywhere.

Agree - especially if its the first place you land because you likely will have a bit of jetlag. I would give it 6-7 days and spend the rest in Amsterdam or Edinburgh and then fly home from there.

I would spend about 7 days in London and 3 in Brugge. You can catch the Eurostar to Brussels (just under 2 hours) then another train to Brugge (1 hour). You can do this all on the Eurostar ticket, it's valid to any station within Belgium.
If you did this, could you book your ticket home from Brussels? Would save back tracking. Kay |
