Hello! I'd be interested in input on this itinerary..it seems pretty crazy even to me!!

8/2 Arrive Frankfurt- train to Heidelberg

8/3 Heidelberg to Freiburg

8/4 Freiburg to Ulm

8/5 Ulm to Wurzburg
Overnight
8-6 Wurzburg to Regensburg
Overnight
8/7 Regensburg to Prague

8/8 Prague to Salzburg
8/9 Salzburg to Munich

8/10 Fly home

Eight one night stays in eight cities sounds like torture to me.

It's essentially a train marathon.

Agree with the their response. Wow, too much traveling and time on the train, finding your hotel, checking in, going out, having dinner, getting to bed, get up and ready, having breakfast, getting your stuff together, checking out, getting the train to the next location, again, again, again.

I would take out Ulm, Prague and Salzburg. Give yourself more time for Munich. You could even take a day trip to Salzburg while in Munich.

I agree. Too much moving, not enough seeing. I'd pick 2-3 places to sty overnight to give you time to actually see the places you are visiting.

Here's what you might have time for.

Würzburg - Prague - (stopover in Regensburg on the way to...) - Munich - (day trip to Salzburg)

Perhaps you'd have time for a stopover in Nuremberg on the way to Prague as well.
