lulu- I do not think there is any possibility you would enjoy a trip to Rome from your attitude about it. Having said that, what a brilliant idea posted above, for your husband to go on his own for a day trip. You both get to do what you want to do, and you'll have a break from each other (14 days on vacation is more couple-time than most people are used to at home).
