1 night or 2 in Aix?

We will be staying in St Remy from Oct 10 leaving from Marseille airport 1 pm flight on Oct. 16th.
I have decided to visit Aix on Oct. 15th (never been) and then drive to airport and drop car off on Oct 16th am since it is so close. I had originally thought we would stay at airport hotel but don't see the need. What do you think?
Do you think we should stay 2 nights in Aix and what should we see on the ride from st remy or just spend two days sightseeing in Aix?
Thank you for any help.
Dac

LOL, my friend, Jean, really wanted to know. The same thing, can't explain how it happened to me with multiple posts and they once banned me for it.

Aix en provence is a wonderful village. Every time we have visited Provence, we have stayed in Aix at the end of our trip.

I would recommend arriving on Monday afternoon, October 14th and leaving on Wednesday morning, October 16th. Aix has a great market on Tuesday.

See the following link: http://en.aixenprovencetourism.com/aix-marches.htm.

We have always stayed at Hôtel des Augustins and would recommend it. It is in a great location. Here is a link:

Whoa! Aix is not a village but a university town.
The best reataurant is the Closerie des lilas
Lunch at the Deux Garcons
