1 day in Milan, what to do?

My husband and I have one full day in Milan at the end of our trip this June. What would you recommend we do? Thanks,

Kris

What I would do is go shopping in the Via Montenapoleone and Via Spiga, then walk to the Duomo (check out the original Prada store in the Galleria), then go to Peck to buy some food; have lunch or coffee there too. Go have dinner at Bice if you're there in the evening.
You could also get tickets to see Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper.

Also, from the Duomo, walk down Via Dante to the huge Sforzesca Castle. I'm working on a trip report where I spent one full day in Milan:

If you do the Last Supper, you need to make reservations way ahead of time. You can use the search box here to find the phone number as I've seen it on a few older threads. Have a great time!

I recommend the Biblioteca Ambrosiana which is very manageable and has some wonderful artwork. You can then have lunch around the corner at Peck (mentioned previously on this thread). After that, walk down to the Duomo, go inside, then walk through the adjoining Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele II. Buy yourself something nice.

About midway down http://www.straughan.com/italy/travel/milano.htm I have some links to a site for current events in Milan, and museums. Try to see the Last Supper - it's truly worth it. The museums site will help you book in advance, which is advisable.
