1 Day car rental - Automatic Transmission
Want to rent a car for 1 day - driving from Rome to Florence through Tuscany.
I tried AutoEurope, but they don't rent out Automatic transmission cars for only 1 day.
Any suggestions out there?
What company have you found to have the best rates?
We'll be staying at the Albergo del Senato in Rome and the Hermitage in Florence - do you happen to know which are the most conveniently located Car Rental locations to these hotels?

You can probably rent from any of the majors by reserving with them directly. Expect to pay just about the same as a three day rental - - which in turn will be about the same as a one week rental of a very nice manual transmission car - - perhaps $250 USD?
Even with a rate like that, I don't know if they will actually accommodate the one-way rental or not. Maybe better to train to Florence and simply do a driving circuit in Florence.

I have found them very reasonable and you can probably rent for one day. I rented for 3 last year with no problem. Good luck.
