1-1/2 Hrs enough time to make a connecting flight at Rome airport to Palermo?

I am trying to arrange a flight from Rome to Palermo. We arrive at 9AM (Delta)at FCO.

The next flight out to Palermo on Air One is at 10:30 AM. Is that enough time to make the flight. We will have carry on only and need to go through customs. Then we will need to go the correct terminal.

Any one had this experience or can advise?

Thanks

Gail

If you have only carry on luggage, you should be OK, though you won't have time to dawdle. We made a connection to Milan in slightly less time. From landing through customs took us about 45 minutes. That would give you sufficient time to get to your terminal (they're all in a row I believe) and make your flight.

Why do you have to go through customs in Rome if you are in transit?

I assumed I will have to go through customs since I am leaving an international flight and going on a domestic flight.

Is it possible I will do customs in Palmero?

It can be done; I've done it twice, arriving only 5 minutes earlier than you will.

You go through passport control and customs (take the green lane: nothing to declare) on arrival at Fiumicino.

The important thing is that you should NOT follow the internal signs to Terminal A (national flights), as they will lead you up and down escalators and so on. Exit immediately from the international terminal and walk along the sidewalk to Terminal A; it will take you 5 minutes maximum.

Eloise, You are a doll. This information is exactly what I needed.

I am going to book the flight with 1-1/2 hrs to connect.

Thanks again for your help now and before regarding Sicily.
