"Fully Serviced Apartments" ? in Edinburgh

O.K. just to make sure I understand would someone explain to me what it means when you read that a property is a fully serviced apartment?

Does this mean daily maid service?

I'm looking at places to stay in Edinburgh for 4 nights and began thinking an apartment would be nice for that long of a period of time. I'm looking at Old Town Chambers. Has anyone stayed there?

Anyway, it references that it is a fully serviced apartment and I'm not sure I'm clear on what exactly that means other than it's complete with kitchen or kitchenette.

You need to read the specific terms and conditions -- sometimes fully serviced means daily maid service and sometimes it means maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

I have rented from this couple and for the price it was great. Easy to deal with.
No maid service but washer, kitchen, nice area and clean.

We haven't stayed at Old Town Chambers but it certainly gets amazing reviews. Fully-serviced means apartments that are pretty much run like a hotel except for not having a restaurant or breakfast service. But daily maid service, a concierge, a 24 hour desk for check-in etc.
