xmas cruise on freedom

We are booked to travel xmas week 2008 on freedom of the seas, just wondering if anybody has taken this cruise that week??It's going to the Western Caribbean, there will be 7 of us,in 3 different cabins.Just wondering if anything special is going on that week, like xmas dinner or if the ship is decorated festivly. What about the weather? Is it very windy on the decks? Another thing is has anybody let the cruise value places book the airfare??The airlines want about $425.00 per person and the itineraries are outrageously inconvienet!we are coming from the east coast and Chicago so we have to consider the weather factor,so I figure it's best to let them arrange it.. Anyway any info you can share will be appreciated.

I have been on a x-mas cruise, but on Costa Cruise line. And the week before x-mas on Disney.

And I have to say WOW!

Both cruises they decked the entire ship in decorations. And they had things like tree lighting ceremonies and caroling.

On Costa Santa Claus came down the elevator and gave a little present to all of the kids on Xmas morning.

Windy, maybe, but this is the carribbean, it will be warm.

Have fun.

Dear Miaspapa,
We traveled on FOS last December (2nd I think). All the decorations for Christmas were up. We loved the whole thing. It was beautiful and fun. The ship went to the Eastern Caribbean, but we didn't care where it went. We just wanted to be on the boat. Also you get all the Christmas hoopla without the holiday price if you can go earlier in the month. (we are retired!!)This year we are going on Independence to Western Caribbean. Have a great time.

Hi, this is not related to the cruise (although my friends who went loved the Freedom and Independence cruises) but I saw your reply to another post and you mentioned labucci's. Could you please tell me what that is because I couldn't find it on Google! Thanks. I've been trying to find out what these are and it's driving me up the wall!
