Wilma and Destination Changes
 

Is there a web site that will list the port destination changes due to the hurricane. Im wondering about a Carnival cruise to the western Carribbean that is currently in progress.

Try the Carnival.com or Cruisecritic.com - Carnival board. Most of those ships were diverted to the Eastern Carib.

Since those type of changes can be made at a minutes notice I doubt if you'll have much luck finding them posted anywhere.

Even Carnivals site only posts major change news (last news I could find there was about hurricane RITA). You could also try calling them at 1-888-CARNIVAL and see if they can help you.

Holland America has given an 800# that gives all of the locations of their Caribbean sailing ships and any changes made due to Wilma.

I am sailing next week, so I was interested in seeing what is being done. Hopefully by my sailing, Wilma will be long gone!!

Go to cruisecritic.com then to their board 'news'. This is where you find out all sorts of news of ships and lines. They have information on ALL changes being made by each cruise ship because of any weather problems. I read about changes this am!

Just returned from Carnival western carribean cruise Oct. 20-24. We were scheduled to go to Cozumel and Key West which obviously did not occur. Itinertary changes were not made by Carnival until 8 am the mornign of the cruise. WE were to board and 1 and depart at 4pm. We arrived early to port at 11 am and were told the change had been announced on carnival's website that mornign and that we were headed to Bahamas. We were allowed a full refund at that time or we could go. We went and had a ball ven though Bahamas is not my ideal destination. AS an FYI, we were supposed to return Mondya but due to Wilma did not port back in until Wednesday so we got 2 extra days at sea.
