Naples Italy

Can you recommend a good way (other than the ships excursions) to see the Amalfi coast while docked in Naples? Max time allowed 7 hrs.

There will be many nice happy taxi droiver waiting at the port when you disembark.

I just got back 3 weeks ago and I had a private tour guide at every port.

But while I was waiting for my tour guide to arrive...I sure met some other pleasant driver.

You pay them in euros.

In 2004, we used (and were very happy with) Giovanni from www.tourofitaly.com
For a full day in a van that held 7 people, the cost was 300 Euro.

Hi catperson

I just got back also 3 weeks ago.

Hi jmvp
!!

Here is the e-mail of a great guy I met while waiting for my private tour guide.

His name is Giovanni Rotondo
[email protected]

You would be looking at about 100 euros
We went to Pompeii)( admission cost is 10 euros)

Then we drove down the Almafi Coast to Sorrento and Positano.
The drive is breathtaking, and we made stops along the way.

Just tell him you want to be at the dock one hour before the ship sails.

There is a nice central square in Sorrento...stop off and have a beer at an outside table and just people watch for a while..

Then walk down a few very narrow streets filled with shops on both sides.

Where are you going from Naples.?
