considering you have been to Rome, Florence and Barcelona, it seems the 2nd cruise is more to your liking.

Which ship?

I like things about both. # 2 because includes Santorini. The one thing I don't like about #2 is it includes Athens which IMO is a waste of time.

I'm glad that both your options include Sorrento and #1 is great because it includes Portofino. Tough choice!

we're going on oceania lines. the ship is the insignia.

The second cruise to the Greek Isles requires a lot of walking on "uneven surfaces." If you have any trouble at all with walking, you will have a difficult time with this. Otherwise, it's a great itinerary!

A word of advice: Bring lots of money. The shore excursions on Oceania cost the earth.

We were on the Insignia Venice to Athens in October. We loved the ship so much that we booked a Barcelona to Lisbon cruise on the Regatta for November. I hope you have as wonderful a time we we did.

We didn't take any of the ship's shore excursions. In Siracusa, Valetta, Santorini, Rhodes, and Mykonos, we toured on our own. In Athens and Amalfi, we hired a car and driver.
