Where to stay in Seattle post cruise
Can anyone recommend a hotel or area in Seattle to stay that is centrally located and w/i easy walking distance of stores, restaurants, etc.? Also any recommendations for sights to see would be appreciated. Thank you.

You might what to check out the Edgewater. Not cheap, but would be a great way to start your cruise.

Is the Edgewater w/i walking distance of the sights you mentioned?

Look at the Alaska board on www.cruisecritic.com (under "destinations.") Many comments about Seattle hotels and cruise logistics there.

yes, the Edgewater is within walking distance of all those..in fact, depending on what cruise line you are taking it may be within walking distance of the cruise terminal.

Edgewater is walking distance to a lot of the waterfront & Pike's Market stuff. A long walk to Pioneer Square and downtown, but doable if you have the time.
More expensive yet is Inn at the Market, but a great location. My wife and I once stayed at Pension Nicole a European-style B&B on the 3rd floor of a buidling on 1st Steet that overlooks the market and the harbor. Price was reasonable, the view superband the accomodations more than adequate if you didn't mind sharing a bathroom. |
Thanks for all the good ideas folks. :-)
