Where to Cruise in September not in Hurricane zone?

Thinking of a very last minute cruise somewhere. Where cld I go(maybe next week for a week) that is not in the potential path of hurricanes? Alaska? Europe? Any & all recommendations welcomed for this very last minute traveller!

how about Canada/New England?

Canada/NE is perfect, but we are headed to Bermuda next Sunday.. If there is a storm...ships head towards Canada anyhow... The NCL Dawn turned around and went beck to Bermuda rather than go back in the storm..lucky people. Trans-atlantic are great if you can get onboard..we did tht last year

Here's a wild idea, take it or leave it. You can probably find some good deals in the Caribbean right now. Odds are your trip will not be affected by a hurricane, but if you are, then your ship will be diverted to a safer area.

If that idea doesn't float your boat, then of course Alaska, the Northwest or Northeast are always nice.

We learned on our Inside Passage cruise that September 28 is the last day of the season...on the 29th the ferry is full of jewelry store operators relocating to the Carribean.

Bobmrg - Atlantic Hurricane season officially ends 30 November, with peak season August thru October - perhaps the jewelery sellers were relocating because there are no tourists in Alaska after September or they have sales leases that expire then?

wow, just pick a cruise and the ship will navigate away from any possible hurricane. The caribbean has some great deals right now. Email me for more suggestions.

When I was in Curacao last week (during Hurricane Ernesto) we saw Adventure of the Seas there. Curacao is outside the 'hurricane belt' and storms seldom hit there. We just had a bit of wind... you might look for a cruise with that port on the itinerary.

Alaska is completely waitlisted and/or closed and Canada/New England is very popular during fall foliage season. It will be nearly impossible to find a last-minute deal!

Don't worry about the hurricanes and cruise ships in the Caribbean. The cruise line will alter the itinerary to stay away from the hurricane and keep guests safe. It is very, very rare to have a Caribbean cruise cancelled due to a hurricane. When I cruised the Southern Caribbean, we did the reverse itinerary as the hurricane hit San Juan.

Julia
