What's the best way to plan a group cruise?
My family wants to do a cruise (Royal Caribbean) at some undetermined time, most likely in '07. Whats the best way to go about ensuring the best rates for a group?

perchy....That is something I would want to approach a Travel Agent with. There may very well be a "cruise only" travel agency in your city.Failing that, I would search for an agency that is part of a large travel agent consortium. If that doesnt work, I would go to 3 agencies and get a quote from each.Right off the top of my head, I think if you have a large mall, there is usually a "leisure" type agency there. But I would definitely ask for the cruise specialist. Not every agent knows how to book groups.Maybe you could speak with the owner.Just some thoughts.Best of Luck!

Many of the cruise lines now offer Group/Family rates. (check directly with RC)..One of the things I might do is depending on how many are planning on going...send them options...The majority wins....Then make sure and it's understood that everybody can do "their thing"...You can use walkie talkies and "post its" for keeping in touch.. especially on a big ship.. Also, depending on where your going.. you can book your own excursions and tours. Are you talking about a Caribbean or a European cruise.. We live outside of Boston and there is a big travel show in January where you can talk to all the cruise lines at once....prices are very negotiable...lol.. If you have more then ten cabins.. one cabin is free... Don't know exactly where we will cruise in 2007, but it is certainly going to be Europe..
Hi BeachBoi...how is it going?

PM.....HI!! Good, busy as I can be.....Traveling to many new places meeting new peeps.....But, as you well know, in my field, how long will it last..So, as Texas farmers say, make hay while the sun shines.....Thanks for thinking of me.....
