what would you do???
Hi,
i am planning to surprise my husband with a short anniversary cruise in Sept. We can only be gone for max 3 days. I found a 2day cruise on saphire princess out of vancouver to sfo. Which we could stay a night prior to the cruise in vancouver. Then I found that cruise picks up the night before in Seattle, then goes to vancouver. What Im wondering is, is it worth it to go on such a short cruise?? can you get off for the day in vancouver or would we stay on the ship and be in a mess with disembarkment/embarkment. Should we go with the 2day cruise/ 1 night vancouver or try to book the ship for the 3 days It sounds like such a hassle, but the ship is new and for most short cruises you cant get on the newer ships. Thanks for any help. Susan |
Personally IMO, I'd pass and wait until I could go for a week. To me it's just too much hassle for such a short time. Use the $ and go out to a special dinner and a night at a romantic hotel.

If you are from the area then it may be worth the "short trip", but if you are flying in for it then, no I wouldn't consider it. But yes if it is a port stop you can get off the ship for touring Vancouver. If going to this area anyway- perhaps look into touring Victoria- just an excellent area for a couple day stay. :)

We went on the Sapphire pre-inagural cruise for 3 days, 2 nights. It was GREAT. It would have been nice to be on it longer, of course, but we had a great time. It is so nice to be pampered like that even if it is only a few days. I thought it was worth it.

I agree with petlover--it's too short a trip for me.

Three days cruise is nothing but better than two, if you only have these two options.

Too short for all that is involved.
Pick a nice hotel, a play, theatre, massage, something special to go along with it. |
