What is the advantage of "Duty Free" shopping? And what does duty free mean?

Jump to last reply

I've been on dozens of trips outside the country and see people trying to bring back cases of liquor, etc.
I'm not a big buyer, but it doesn't seem like they are getting that much of a bargain, plus they then have to get the stuff home. What does "duty free" mean and what am I missing?
