What cruise in South America offers a shore excursion flight to Antarctica? Please?
I received a brochure in the mail about a year ago on a cruise in South America. It had one day (I believe in Argentina) that you could take a one day optional flight to Antarctica. I have lost the brochure and I can't remember the cruise line. Now I am very interested in a South American coastal cruise but my daughter remembers that optional tour to antarctica and is pestering me find out about it.
Please help this mom!!! If you know of any cruise in South America that you can take a day trip to anywhere in Antactica I would greatly appreciate you help. Thanks, April |
Do a search on "Flightseeing excursions to Anarctica." You'll get several leads to cruises and tours. The QM2 offers one of the more interesting trips.

I know Radisson does.I'm guessing all the cruise lines that do South America probably offer this excursion.

Silversea does. I think all four luxuary lines do.

Holland America certainly do as well, they fly out of Punta Arenas.

I know that Crystal does, because we were on that cruise a couple of years ago. However, the flight excursion to Antarctica was cancelled because not enough people signed up. At $1200 a head, I was not too surprised.

I just received a brochure today from Oceania cruises that offers an Antarctica stop.

Thanks so much. I have looked into all the info. I was very surprised at the cost!! It is about enough to just look at the Antarctica cruise as a trip by itself. It is still expensive but at least you would feel you got more than a day for your money. I will just have to wait and see.
Thanks again so much for all your valuable info. AprilA |
