What "conveniences" are included on RCCL?

Just wondering what convenience items are included in cabins aboard Royal Carribbean ships (Brilliance of the Seas, to be specific). Shampoo? Soap? Hair dryer? Toothpaste? Etc, etc. Just trying to pack as light as possible for a 12 day cruise!
Thanks!!!

Shampoo, soap and a hair dryer, but if I remember correctly, its shampoo and conditioner in one. I prefer my own.

I was suprised how little was supplied - I expected it to be like a nice hotel with little bottles of lotion, etc.

Just shampoo, bar soap and a hairdryer (in the desk, not in the bathroom) on the Navigator.

The shampoo is a shampoo/conditioner in one and I thought it was really bad. I would bring your own. The soap was fine. Hairdryer was a little weak if you have lots of hair.

That hairdryer is weak, and you have to hold the button down the whole time, which made it difficult to use! Pack your stuff in small travel-sized bottles, and don't forget a small squirt bottle of Downy wrinkle release. It works wonders!

Depends on what kind of cabin you are in. I had a JS on Majesty and we had larger bottles of shampoo, lotion, shower gel. Hairdryer was not the kind you had to hold. I have short hair and it was just fine for me.

On the Radiance, had shampoo/conditioner in a bottle wall unit in the shower, so as the soap, in a wall unit bottle. There was a small bar soap by the sink. Small bottle of lotion. A hair dryer in the room. No tookpaste.

Is there an iron in the room??

newyorkgolfer41 Nov 2nd, 2004 09:44 AM

The quality of the products seemed somewhat substandard to us.....kind of cheap IMO. I would definitely bring my own things.

It is my understanding that irons are not allowed in the rooms.

LeighB, when are you sailing? We'll be on the Brilliance 11/22/04.

You can generally find irons (to use at no cost) in the laundry rooms. (Usually one or more on each deck).

I didn't think RCCL had laundry rooms. Princess does but I didn't find any on RCCL.

With reference to an iron.......I used to take a travel size, but now have a small steamer. It works fine, and is easier to use.

You can also try Downy Anti-wrinkle spray - it is fantastic.
