Venice cruise terminal to San Marco ?
 

What´s the best and convenient way to go from the cruise terminal to San Marcos?
( I´m carrying 1 suitcase ).

We were there about 5 years ago and there were shuttles at times though not terrible reliable. Also a vaporetto went from the cruise terminal to somewhere, but if you get from the terminal to anywhere on the canal you can go anywhere. I think it goes to Piazza Roma which is the main vaporetto terminal. I think a No 1 goes to San Marco, but it's easy to find out.

The ticket office for taking a vaporetto is at the end of the dock. The staff there will help you.

The people mover goes from the cruise terminal to Piazzale Roma (last year the price was one euro each). From there it is a short walk to the vaporetto stop.

Depending on the berth of your ship, it could be a fairly long walk to the people mover. Some ship offers shuttle to the people mover.

Once you are at Piazza Roma, you are not all that far from San Marcos.

While we were at Venice, we stayed by the airport and took public transit (bus) to Piazza Roma. We walked from Piazza Roma to everywhere and never took the vaporetto.

Since you have a single piece of luggage, your only challenge would be the bridges which are many, and there are steps.

Water taxi is an option but very expensive compare to vaporetto. The vaporetto schedule is here.

We recently had this experience in Venice. Our ship (Celebrity) was docked in the least convenient berth and there was no offer to get us to the people mover--about a half mile walk. It has an elevator as well as escalators. We were headed to the train station by way of Roma Piazza and dreaded hauling luggage over the bridge. We were lucky to find a porter who took our luggage on a trolley to station for 5 euros each. I should add that we saw porters in various locations to help with luggage--licensed porters wear a vest--bright colored --if I remember correctly.
