Vaccinations for Western Caribbean?

Does anyone recommend having any vaccinations or malaria pills for cruising the Western Caribbean? We are visiting Belize and Mexico?

You shouldn't require vaccinations in these countries. You can get the yellowfever vaccine but it is not necessary.

Have cruised to Belize and Mexico-assuming Cozumel? - no shots, etc. needed.

We will be visiting the same ports. My doctor said that we did not need any shots, but he did recommend taking an antibiotic along.

Hi,

I am a travel agent/cruise specialist and I didn't need any shots on my recent cruise to the Western Caribbean. But, I always recommend that my clients contact their local health department to be certain and to get the latest information.

Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions!

Best Regards,
Julia
