Duh- I assume you are staying overnite in Seattle...???
There is Pike Place Market=that is AWESOME, plus a great Art Gallery started by one of the Microsoft original partners ( not Bill Gates) that is great...Plus great little shops to walk around..
Also there is Pioneer Sq...(but that may be a little seedy)...So stick with Pike Place Market and also there are Ferries to the various islands off Seattle that are good for day trips..
Seattle is a fun place!!

But wait - there are two piers. One is right on the central waterfront (Norwegian, some luxury lines like ResidenSea and some transits like Celebrity) and the other is way south in cargo-land (Princess, HAL). The former is close to everything, the latter is a cab ride from anywhere.
How about a ball game at beautiful Safeco Field? Or walk around the Chinatown/International District (esp. the wonderful Uwajimaya Village complex) for a major blast of Pacific Rim culture and food? Lots to do in central Seattle.
