Trip Assured for cruise insurance (through cruisequick.com)!
 

I just hung up from trying to ask these people about travel insurance. We travel alot but have never bought this type of insurance (actually 1st real cruise). They were ~ without a doubt ~ the natiest people I have seen with customers. They chuckled, said they didn't know how to answer a question about what is not covered by insurance, threatened to hang up on me, etc.

We are trying to book a cruise through cruisequick.com. Does anybody know how to purchase travel insurance for cruise through cruisequick.com without using this firm?

We booked a cruise through our TA and got travel insurance thru Travel Guard. It cost $165.00, but the coverage was excellent www.travelguard.com

I also book directly through the insurance company. Look at www.accessamerica.com

I have had to file a claim with Access America and they paid my claim (for cancelling a cruise for a medical emergency) in 8 days.

I would let CruiseQuick know about your experience. They can probably come up with some other options for you.

Don't buy insurance through the travel agency- it's more expensive. Cruisequick was great for booking, but I get my insurance through CSA. I had to use it, too, in S Africa when we crashed a car, and they were easy to work with. My husband and I have elderly parents and feel that insurance is necessary when we spend over 1000 for a trip.

I spent a couple of hours one afternoon talking to Royal Caribbean, my travel agency, Royal's insurance company, and Travel Assured (they were rude to me too.) No one seemed to care how to explain fine print and various options. Finally found on cruisecritic.com's website a posting about tripinsurancestore.com. Owner is very nice, knowledgeable and will thoroughly explain options for you.
