Transatlantic Weather: September

Hi:

Does anybody know what the weather/roughness during a North Atlantic crossing would be like in early to mid September. We're on the QM 2 on the Westbound September 8th crossing.

Thanks so much for any insight.

It will be cool--and possibly rough at times, although QM2 should be able to ride seas well; we crossed in September on QM2 several yeasrs ago and had some stormy days but nothing really difficult. Outside decks will be windy and cool to downright chilly. Bring along windbreakers if you like to be on deck.

I agree with winner. I crossed on the QE2 in early October several year's ago and we had very rough weather but the last day at sea was beautiful. Passengers were enjoying the deck chairs under clear blue skies. I like a rougher crossing - makes me appreciate sea travel even more.

If you do experience a little mal de mer the purser's desk has tablets and if that doesn't work the shot should do the trick. Be forewarned - the shot will knock you out for several hours and runs about $60 (price according to QM2 nurse), but it will certainly have you feeling better for the rest of the trip.

QM2 is an incredible ship - have a wonderful trip!
