transatlantic cruise booking

I want to book a transatlantic cruise on Cunard Line, but don't know if it would be better to go directly through them or to use a travel agent. I want to get the best deal possible. Would Cunard give me a better deal than an agent, or the other way around, or are they the same? Thanks!

Why don't you contact several sources to see which will give you the best price? Check some of the cruise sites also. They may have some difference advice. There is a Cunard Board on www.cruisecritic.com.

I always book with my travel agent. She is with Virtuoso consortium. They seem to have the best deals. Their Voyager Club sailings are hosted, so that there is someone there for you if you have any problems. I just feel better about booking with them because I think that they have more clout with the cruise line.
