Tips, plugs, and stuff
 

Travelling on Vision of the Seas.
I read that it's a good idea to bring a power-strip - which I think is American for adaptor. Does it have to be a three pin or two pin? Does the voltage matter? I think it's a good idea as, with teens, I will be plugging and charging all kinds of psp's, phones, straighteners,etc!
Also, we have pre-paid gratuities, does that mean we still tip whilst on board? Will the staff know we have already paid tips? I would hate them to think we were just stingy.
Is the Solarium adults only?
If you have my-time dining, do you still pay for each reservation? I read that a fee was applied for choosing a time.
If you have my-time dining, do you sit with different people each evening? Will we have a table to ourselves?
Generally, what time do the shows start? Is there a show each evening?

I have not been on that RCL ship almost this year out of IST

But RCL has 120/240 sockets in each cabin usually so voltage

is not usually an issue use 240 for UK 120 for US generally.

When we were on Vision, we had fixed dinner time, at the end of the cruise we got envelopes with vouchers (checks to reflect our tips payments) to give to employees and if we wanted, we could add cash.

There are 2 shows each evening timed to fixed dining. Every evening you will get a schedule for next day in your cabin. On this schedule you will see when the shows will be.

On another cruise line with open seating we were asked if we want to share the table with others - probably it will be your choice on Vision too.

If you have breakfast and lunch in the MDR there you will be seated with others, they just seat people as they arrive.

Typical power on the ship is 110. Power strip means "power bar" = device to allow you to plug in multiple items (Y adaptor of sort), It is not a power converter or transformer.

If straighteners = curling iron, they may not want you to plug it in.
