Tetra Wine boxes on the plane?

We will be travelling to the USA to catch a cruise. We would like to pack some wine in the suitcase. Has anyone had problems with security, having tetra boxes of wine packed?

I don't think the wine is a problem as long as it's in your checked luggage. If you purchase the wine at the airport(duty free) you can take it on the plane. Have a wonderful time!!!!!

The tetra boxes have foil linings, I was thinking that this may look suspicious on an x-ray. Especially since the wine tetras are often cylindrcal. Also we are travelling from Canada; not sure if we can bring wine across the border if its not duty free?? Maybe I'm being too cautious, but I don't want needless problems.
What do you think???

I don't see a problem. If you have to go thru customs, just declare it. The duty on still wine is peanuts. Maybe a $ or two, and more trouble to do the paperwork. I've brought a case of wine in my checked baggage before and had no problem.

If it goes thru x-ray and someone questions it, they will look to see what it is -- so what?

Enjoy your cruise and don't worry about it. ((b))

Check to see if you can bring them on your cruise - there may be rfesgtrictions on that, not related to security - each line has different rules and different levels of enforcement.
