Teen Friendly Cruise

Anyone have an idea on a good cruise to take a 15 yr old to where they're not board out of their minds?

The cruise lines have really expanded their programs for children and teens, and most cruise lines do an excellent job. Most of my clients with families don't see much of their children and teens during these cruises and have to drag them back to the stateroom to sleep.

They have specific teen-friendly programs with computers, socials, newer movies, dance clubs, teen-friendly shore excursions, pool parties on all of those cruise lines. The teens like the "no adults allowed" policy, but all activities are fully supervised by trained, security-screened cruise staff members - usually recent college graduates in education, psychology, recreation, human services.

Best Regards,
Julia

I would think a Caribbean or Mexican cruise would be good, esp. in the summer or spring break when alot of families will be on board. Hawaii then too would be good.

Check out Princess Cruise Lines, they have a teen center called "Remix" just for teens and have tons of activities.

Nothing is better than any Voyager or Freedom class ship. The second place goes to large Carnival ships. My teenage boys WERE bored on Princess after Explorer of the Seas.

This summer we took 5 teens ages 15-17 on a carnival cruise. They loved it. The is a special club just for that age. Disco with no alchol drinks served during the time the teens use the disco. They are still e-mailing friends they met in June.

We have had our teen daughter with us on several cruises. I think that most summer cruises will have an abundance of teens. We went on Princess to the Mediterranean a couple of years ago and there were literally hundreds of teens. Same with Carnival on the Mexican Riviera during the summer. Now that our teen is in college she didn't accompany us on our the same Mexican Riviera cruise we took in this past Sept. There were hardly any kids on the ship. Princess and Carnival have teen centers with tons of activities. As I said, travel during the summer and your teen will have no problem finding others, but during school it is another story.

HAL has the best teen program I've seen. My kids are begging for another cruise because of the wonderful time they had on the alaskan cruise last summer.
