Tahiti excursion guides

Taking a cruise on the Tahitian Princess in March. Looking for good excursion guides and recommendations.

Try the dolphin watch on Moorea with Dr. Michael Poole and the 4x4 into the interior of Raiatea. The former is perhaps THE authority in the world on spinner dolphins and the latter will allow you to see breathtaking natural beauty. Enjoy the TP while you can. Its pulling out of that route soon after you go.

Thanks for the info. I was suprised to find out that the TP was pulling out. Glad we got it when we did.

I heard that Princess was finding it too problematic to get supplies to Papeete and that there were too many immigration hassles for their crew as the chief reasons for the pull out. Its surprising too in that that cruise is nearly always full, at least according to an article in the travel section of a newspaper that I get. Cheers, Larry :-)

I can't believe I found this but look down on the page for Joel House who does 4X4 tours on Huahine. He is American, one of the last "hippies" I tink who left, where else, Berkley in the 60's in search of adventure, went to Tahiti, married a local and has been there ever since :D Do try his 4x4 tour. he knows everything about that island, is very enthusiastic, bare-footed :D and will give you a tour you won't forget. Cheers, Larry. :-)
