Disney Cruises do not have Casinos and do have a higher number of kid's on Board than the other Cruise lines using Port Canaveral. Carnival, RCCL, and Premier Cruise lines all Sail from Port Canaveral (30 minutes from Orlando) and usually at a much lower cost for the same cruise. If you can't get enough of Disney and don't mind spending more then go Disney Cruise Lines. Premier Offers Packages too that include WDW or Universal usually at a much lower rate. I'd definitely shop around.
Hi Sarah,
I can help you out with discount prices for Disney Cruise packages.

Disney accomodates adults by offering adult pools, shows, lounges and private areas on their island.

You would not be disappointed.

Write me, Paul

Sarah,

I am not a travel agent. I did the four-day cruise with the three-day land package in Aug. 1999. My husband and I took our three kids.

I would think twice before I would take an all-adult group on this trip. Our table mates for dinner were a British couple with no kids. I think they had regrets about taking the Disney cruise. They said the adults-only facilities were packed, and there was no pool space to be had. They didn't look too happy when my two-year old got sick at the table, and they didn't appear comfortable being surrounded by kids.

My opinion is that Disney is really geared for kids, so you must have kids or really like other people's kids to enjoy it. Tantrums and screaming abound, and lots of kids were being disciplined. If I recall correctly, most movies are rated G. The shows were kid-friendly. I would never have done Disney if I had chosen to leave my kids at home. Disney does a great job at what they do, but it is up to you to make sure you are in their target audience.

Paul
What you are doing is advertising and soliciting which is not allowed on this board. In additiion, advising a couple without children to take a Disney cruise is certainly not giving them the best advice, which leads me to question not only your ethics but also your cruise knowledge.

I took a Disney cruise last December and I enjoyed it. I took my mother with me. There were a lot of kids, but they were on Christmas break. Disney really has a lot of activities for adults. The adult comedy club was great. There is an adult beach on the private island and an adults pool on the ship. The spa is also for adults only. I have been on about 15 cruises and would highly recommend this cruise. The food was the best I have ever had. The adult only restaurant was wonderful also. I would like this cruise when kids are in school. I have been on Premier several times and would not recommend it, there are much better ships!

I went on this cruise in November with my mother, the ship itself is lovely and our cabin was superb we were upgraded to a outside with veranda. The food was o.k. and most of the entertainment was geared around children. I would not choose this ship again unless I had children the other lines just seem to have so much more for adults in a more relaxing enviroment, with a far better selection of adult entertainment. If you love disney and hundreds of children around you then maybe this is the cruise for you. I felt the adult only areas were quite limited and with the exception of the last night show I did not enjoy the evening shows which by the way are at 6.30pm if you choose the late sitting for dinner which kind of defeats the purpose of having the later meal time if you still have to be dressed and out of the cabin by 6.15pm.

We did this package and had a great time. There are adult facilities including an adults only beach at the Disney Island. We explored Disney World for four days and that wasn't enough time. It was great to be able to absorb all the intracacies of Disney World without having to escort kids. While the Disney resorts may not have the most exciting nightlife, Downtown Disney most certainly does. While a little bit pricey, I heartily recommend that you see the Cirque de Soleil. Pardon me if I have misspelled this. There is nothing else like it except the other Cirque de Soleils. We still talk about this show.

There is enough to do that if you do the land then sea package, you will appreciate the relaxation found on board the Disney ships. Have a great time.
