Sterling Steakhouse

Has anyone eaten and have opinions on the new food option (for more $$) being offered on some Princess cruise ships?

just got back, didn't use it but was dissapointed in noticing that the steakhouse shared same room as the buffet area. The regular meals were too good to pass up.

Hi,Just saw this post, hope its not to late. We had dinner at the Sterling Steakhouse and it was worth the extra 7 dollars. The steaks are wonderful and they give way to much food. If you are sailing in warm waters, you will eat outside. Its your vacation, go for the extra few dollars.

Hi Gary, We thought the extra "8" dollars was worth it and my wife is a vegetarian. The only hard choice was picking which night to miss our normal dining schedule.

Hi Pepper, We were on the ship two weeks ago and the formal nights were Sun & Thur. Most evenings had theme dinners such as Italian, French, Chef's..etc. The second formal evening was the lobster night and the friday night featured the baked alaska. It's hard to pick a particular evening without feeling you're missing something but thats not a bad thing. Enjoy!

I would pick the second nite. The meals get awefully good after that. ON THE SECOND NITE THAY HAD MEDIALLIONS OF fillet and new Orleans crawfish
