staterooms

i have never taken a cruise, is there any cruiseline (N.Y.C.) that allows you onboard to see exactly what the rooms look like?

I would be very surprised unless you are a travel agent and the cruise line is providing a briefing.
My understanding is that with growing security concerns over the past few years, this is an opportunity that has been lost.

As a follow up to my last post you might find this site that allows comparisons between ships of some use.

If you are in New York City, try to find a "cruise only" agency. It is possible that within the confines of their office space they have a true to scale mock up of a stateroom, complete with bath.I have seen this in 2 such agencies when I was visiting in the Dallas area. You would have at least a better idea than just looking at pictures.Hope this helps!
