st maarten excursions

Any suggestions for a good shore excursion in St. Maarten with an 18 yr old. Snorkeling is out... We are cruising on RCCL in June. There are so many excursions listed on their website, that we don't know which one to choose. I've been there once before and did the America's Cup..(what a blast) but was looking for something different. Plus something that an 18yr old girl would like....

Shopping. Dutch side has great jewelry stores and lots of clothes shopping. French side is even more upscale.

We did Orient Beach while we were there and then on the way back to the ship we did shopping. My nieces and nephews loved the beach and also the shopping to pick up shot glasses for their friends.

Be aware- FRENCH SIDE sells everything in EURO...their Euro is worth more than our USD...

Shop on the Dutch side...

Do not do the 4x4 excursion offered by RCCL. You do get to drive a jeep, but all of the trip is on-road. They stated 4 hours for the excursion, but it really took 8 hours and left no time for seeing the Dutch side.
