We will be in St. Kitts by way of a cruise. I was told by the railway operator that we can ONLY book through the cruise line for this tour! Does anyone have any other information? The price is very high (CDN$) and it seems as if our cruise line is already full for this tour. Any help would be appreciated.

lucky you going to st kitts. never cruised there but vacationed there many times. very small very laid back.they did not have the train the last tiome i was there but have heard about it on the nevis/st kitts newsgroup. i believe its a small guage rail thru the sugar cane??? i would hire a taxi driver to take you around or go to turtle beach at the far end of pennisula. taxi's are everywhere and most are VERY honest,get a quote first. one of my favorite drivers was james bond.try the news group.

Question on St. Kitts: have you ever done the horseback tours there or do you know anything about them?

no ,never did horse back,but did see other people on the horses going down the beach.One of the stables was near where that new huge resort is now located.
