Small ship cruising?

Perhaps Paul can answer my question. I'm looking for ships with fewer than 400 passengers. I know of Seabourn, Silversea, and the Sea Dreams, but need information as to other lines. Any information on Radisson's Diamond? Thanks in advance!

Unlike other RSSC ships, the Diamond may not be the same caliber as Seabourn service, and food-wise. The ship's great though for stability!

Yes, I know the Diamond would not be Seabourn, but my priority is the "few
passenger" type. Mother just couldn't manage a large ship at her age.(94) She loves to cruise and we love Seabourn....
as we cruise twice a year on either the Pride or the Legend, but they aren't making any 7 day Caribbean voyages in Nov. or Dec. so I thought we might just give the Radisson Diamond a "go".....
Thank you for your feedback!

Hi M.B.

Other than those above, Radisson also has the Paul Gauguin, Navigatror and Mariner. Their Song of Flower only carries about 180 pax.

Cunard has the Caronia which carries about 650 pax.

That is all unless you wish to sail the explorer type cruises.

Good luck and happy cruising.

Paul

The Caronia seems to be catering to a British market, and then an elderly one at that. I would pass. It is not the ship that it is supposed to be.

Thank you for your feedback! After doing some research I think maybe the Radisson Diamond might be the best choice! During Nov. & Dec. very few small ships are cruising in the Caribbean. Any advice on the Diamond would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You might consider Seadream Yachts. They used to be the Sea Goddess ships, and, with only 100 passengers, they are every bit as luxurious as Seabourn. They are sailing 7-day itineraries out of St. Thomas all winter.
http://www.seadreamyachtclub.com/
I know this doesn't answer your question, but SeaDream ROCKS! So does Silversea and Radisson... Never did Seabourn. But SeaDream is SO "your own yacht," so different from the traditional cruise. LOVED IT and can't wait to go back November 23rd!
