Silversea Silver Wind
 

Trying to decide whether to take my first cruise - Mediterranean, this fall. Silversea gets very mixed reviews, some say is the epitome of luxury, others say the Silver Wind is worn and the food is OK. A few posts, mostly on another website, speak about how the line has gone downhill. What interests me about the cruise is going to a number of places without packing and unpacking, but for the price, I expect luxury and quality food. Please share your experience about this line and the Silver Wind in particular.

I've taken 2 trips with Silverseas: one the Mediterranean and one to Russia/Sweden/Finland. I loved it. Excellent service, great food and I felt it was well worth the price. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the ships for both but the first was the Silver Cloud.

Thank you all. I have decided I am nervous enough about the cruisecritic reviews that I am going to pass on the cruise and do a land tour instead.
