Has anyone been on the SeaDream II out of St. Thomas? I took it this summer from Nice and am going again November 30 for the Virgin Island cruise. Would love some information about the water "toys" and the excursions offered by the crew.

Wow!! Water toys and excursions by the crew. Please, someone, fill us both in. Sounds like an interesting, unusual cruise!!

To MB: I've tried the message boards on Cruise Critic, but there's not much information there. :-( To Marge: The SeaDream I and II were the former Sea Goddess ships with Seabourn. They are 110 passenger small cruise ships that offer a unique, pretty much all inclusive (wine, open bar, gratuities, etc.) package with first rate service and outstanding cuisine. There are no dress up nights and all meals are open seating. They summer in the Meditteranean and one winters in St. Thomas and the other sails out of Palm Beach. The water toys include kyacks, jet skis, banana boats, etc. launched from a platform on the ship. You should check it out at Seadreamyachtclub.com

I wrote an extensice review of a Seadream I voyage in the Med in July. It has since disappeared from this site. I'll check my hard drive at home to see if I saved it in MS Word...but I doubt it.<BR><BR>I wonder why that thread disappeared???

You missed me by one week! I, too, sailed SeaDream (but SD1) in the Medi this summer and just returned Saturday from SD2 in the Caribbean! While I'm too late for you, Marge might be interested. This is simply the BEST cruise experience I've ever had and I've had many. I went this time with a friend who'd never been on a cruise and on the way home suggested that maybe she join me on other ships when I have vacation time and my husband couldn't take the time off. She looked at me like I was nuts and said &quot;SeaDream is like sex with George Clooney. After that, you simply can't go backwards.&quot; The sports platform, i.e., water toys, are all at no charge and include wave runners, zodiacs, banana boats, etc. The Caribbean ports were fabulous--not the usual ones visited by a gazillion ships: St. John, St. Barts, Virgin Gorda, Jost van Dyke. The Activities Director conducted a hike that everyone loved in Jost van Dyke but it sounded a bit too grueling for me for vacation. Tends to be youngish (40s or so) active people. Oh! This trip they also had a unique &quot;excursion&quot; of sorts: A chance to use that Segway Human Transporter thing. For $49 you got an hour on it and it really was cool to actually experience it. In other areas: Food is remarkable and the service perfect. Only bad thing I can say is that the air in the gym really wasn't working and it was horrible. Concerns me because I found the same thing on SD 1 in the Medi. If they fix that up, I'd have absolutely NO complaint.
