Sardinia and Marseilles Question

Does anybody know fun things to do with children in Olbia, Sardinia and Marseilles, France? We are going on a Disney cruise on 7-7. Thanks!

Go to the Old Port area in Marseille and take a ferry out to Chateau d'If (a short ride) and explore the island and the fortress/prison that was the setting for Dumas' Count of Monte Cristo.

You're certainly welcome. I think both you and the children will enjoy it. There is a cafe that sells sandwiches and cold drinks. I bought a post card there and they stamped it "Chateau d'If."

There is a nice little gift shop too. I remember the rhinoceros t-shirts and small items that children would like.

I think there was a school field trip the day I visited. There were kids everywhere.

It was a fun afternoon for me and it's been a long time since I was a kid. I loved the views from the walls and also from the tiny barred windows in the cells.

Have a wonderful trip with your family.

When in Marseilles I would also take a taxi ride up to the Basilica Lady of the Guard.

You cannot miss it because it is on the highest point in Marseilles and you can see it from everywhere.

Your children may or may not be 100%thrilled to go inside this Church which is nice inside, but they and you will love the Panoramic Views from waaay up here.

You will see the Ilse d'If and the Chateau d'If as well as other nearby islands.
