Santorini or Mykonos
My wife and I have a choice of last minute cruises and one takes us to Santorini and the other Mykonos. Can't seem to get both of them while having Egypt on the itinerary. Which one should we not miss? Any cruise suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks dap1206

Santorini, see the town on Oia on the island.
|
I agree with the above post. I wouldn't miss Santorini. :)

Another vote for Santorini

Santorini! While Mykonos was a fun stop - it didn't have "Oh my gosh look at the view" comments we were continually making on Santorini.
|
This may be overkill, but put me down for Santorini, too. Visit Akrotiros if you have time, but whatever you do, make time for a glass of wine at a taverna overlooking the caldera, especially if you can do it before dusk.

Sntorini. Mykopnos is very nice and in many ways prttier, but Santorini is unique.
|
Santorini, I will never forget it. You won't be sorry!

Without any hesitation

This may be too late, but BOTH...We went on Princess'
Greek Isles: Venice to Civitavecchia - 12 Days cruise and we visited both Mykonos and Santorini. If their itineraries have changed, then go to Santorini and make sure you get to Oia. |
Another vote for Santorini. I agree with the visit to Oia. The bus runs regularly to Oia as well if you don't want to take a cab.
|
Broken record--Santorini--we thought that Oia looked so fantastic during our brief visit on a cruise that we went back on a subsequent post-cruise and stayed for four days.
|
Santorini and take a taxi to Oia. We found a restaurant with a great view in Thera and ate lunch there.
|
Definitely Santorini. Take the local bus to Oia and you get a view of most of the island that way for about $2 US.
Santorini is beautiful but wear good walking shoes. Make sure you see the sunset from a cafe in Fira. |
