Sailing on Norwegian Epic's Western Med Cruise Departing Se8-Se15

Is anyone in this forum planning on going on this cruise or sailed on this particular cruise before?
If you've sailed this particular one before any tips re: shore excursions would be appreciated.
If you're planning on cruising those dates, I am interested in arranging a private group tour vs. the shore excursions offered by Norwegian.

At www.cruisecritic.com, if you go to the Roll Call section, NCL, Epic, September 8, you can find fellow passengers.

What are your ports? We only done a couple of Med cruises, but maybe we've visited some of your ports.

There is a detailed trip about your itinerary on NCL Epic currently on the Europe Board by poster Shelld.

Abram I didn't see a roll call for this particular cruise on cruisecritic.com and I haven't been able to start one because the firewall at work prohibits it and my wifi at home is in process of being dumped. I was able though to follow their shore excursions link and look up each of the ports and find loads of useful info. The ports are: launching from Barcelona, Naples, Rome, Marseille, Florence and Mallorca. Any insight you care to share on any of these would be welcome.

Happy - Yes, I have definitely been all over shelld's extensive trip report. Still plowing thru it but have found some wonderful tips and gorgeous pics. Thanks for providing the link to make it easier for me to go back however. (:

The only one of those ports we've been to is Barcelona, where we spent several days (something I highly recommend) before boarding a cruise.

There are at least 2 Cruise Critic roll call threads for your sailing--make sure you go beyond the first page to find them.

I'm sure you're aware that Rome and Florence are a considerable ways from ports, so you can take that into consideration when planning your day.

R2 If you go back to cruise critic scan down as there is a roll call under Sept 11 - some passengers are embarking in Rome. There is quite a long roll call there so I am sure you will find more fellow passengers to join up with for a private tour.

Okay thanks to the both of yous. My private net should be back in effect by tomorrow and I'll be able to register and check out cruisecritic in more depth.. Thanks again!
