Royal Princess

Has anyone been on the Royal Princess lately?
I have read a few reports that said she was getting "tired". Would I be better off picking a newer ship? I am hoping to go on a Scandinavian cruise this June.
Thanks, Judy

I will be going on this ship July 25. The entire ship was redone in late fall 1998

We were on the repositioning Buenos Aires-Barcelona in the spring and found the ship quite acceptable. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

Last Aug. we sailed on Splendour of the Seas to the Baltic. It too was great. I really miss the self laundry on RCCI. I think the Princess itinerary goes to Latvia instead of Estonia. I'm sure you'll really like it.
We took the Royal from Dover to Scandanavia last July, had a wonderful time. Rooms seemed real nice to me, as did all the common areas. Cabins seemed roomy and had real bathtubs, allowing a hot bath, which I enjoy. We enjoyed this cruise and ship equally with others more grand (the Grand Princess in the Med the year prior). Do it!
