Royal Caribbean's Navigator of the Seas

I am thinking about going on the Navigotor of the Seas next July. Our ports are Rome, Sicily, Athens, Turkey, & Crete. I have been to Europe but have not done a cruise like this. Has anyone done this cruise and what are your thoughts about the ports and the ship?

We've been to the ports (you didn't mention specifically some of the ones you're going to) and always love a Mediterranean cruise. I wouldn't go in July though....too hot and crowded. Go in mid September to mid October IMO.

I can't speak for the ship, never been on it. Have you been on one of the really large mega ships before? If you like the large ships, I would think it would be fine. I personally like much smaller ships with fewer passengers.

One way or another, The itinerary will probably be great but I would NOT go in July due to the crowds and hot weather.

We did the western Med. in July/Aug. and I agree that it was very warm and crowded too. For ship reviews go to: www.cruisecritic.com

I have no comment about the Med...but I hear that there are swarms of kids on those ships in July. I know there are in the Caribbean in summer. I loved the ship, however, and siled on the maiden voyage. There are tons of activities on board including an amazing ice show. I like the big ships.

Ditto everyone that said July is full of kids, hot and crowded. I much preferred my May and October sailings to the one (and only) I took in July.
