Returning to the ship, what do you do?

Hi,
My husband john and I are going on our 4th cruise since we retired in a few months.
Last time we went on Holland America to the Caribbean we had a hard time getting back on the ship at St. Martin because we lost our "HAC" stickers and they couldn't let us on without verification. That never happended to us before.
We are going on Carnival for the first time. Are they strict about making you wear your ship sticker or badge?

thanks
dotty
Dotty-most cruise lines use the new scan cards-ie.like a credit card.
You get one usually at pier check-in or in your cabin--Take this card with you at all times--you will use it for ID ,getting on and off ship,--and also for charging anything-ie,drinks,gifts etc that you may purchase on board....
Also always take your drivers lic, with you when you get off ship in port--just make sure you wear your ID in an under the clothes waist holder so you don't lose it

thanks for the information. Becuase of medical prblems, it has been a few years since our last cruise.

When we went on Holland America in 1997 and got off the ship in St. Martin they had given all the passengars small black stickers with an "HAC" on them. We lost them and had a dreadful time getting back onto the boat.
