Registration

It will be interesting to see what registration will do to this site. Hopefully Danny Mangin knows that the volume of people that come to Fodors Cruises
come here because its been different than all of the rest of the cruise chat boards. There is humor, criticism, radical thought and entertainment. I am an avid fan of cruisecritic but it doesn't have any of the ingredients I just mentioned. It is indeed informative - but very repititious. The new people to a board like that stay interested, but the veterans tire of the same old questions. Yes, we know the answers and should gladly respond; but you get tired of telling people how to get to Trunk Bay from St. Thomas.

At least, on Fodors, you get to see some of the sparks between Paul and me, or laugh at some of stupid things others have to say. Its a way to break up the day (or early morning hours in the case of Paul).

I really hope we don't lose that.

I for one will miss this comedic site. It is really a cross section of Americana. Makes me want to go into the field of physciatry.

Fordors was doing so well with eliminating the gross threads. It did weed out the "kids."

Peter should start a site, he could call it www.iknoweverything.com.

This is giong to be one heck of a boring site. Not for me.

Paul

Yep, it is Jan. 27. Do you feel any different?

just kidding Jan 27th, 2003 03:40 AM

I agree with Paul, Peter does know everything,in fact,I'd bet that he can spell psychiatry.

And Paul since when didn't you claim to know everything as well? You really aren't much better than Peter. Just a different flavor.

Why didn't my last two replies work?
This is just a test.
Thanks!

Cruiser Jan 27th, 2003 06:58 AM

Sometimes the posting works, sometimes is doesn't. Anyone else running into this problem?

Techydude Jan 27th, 2003 10:17 AM

Wow! I have already noticed a difference in the replies today. No more personal slamming or flaming. Fodors thanks for finally catching up with the rest of the web world.

Now we can finally make honest answers without fear of attack.
