RC's Grandeur of the Seas - What are your thoughts?
We're thinking about booking a short cruise out of Tampa on the Royal Caribbean GotS.
Any opinions on the balcony rooms vs Jr Suites?
Any info on the ship would be appreciated.
Thanks....

We were on Grandeur in 97, so she is getting old and probably tired. We had a Jr. suite on Legend of the Seas---sister ship. We were upgraded on 2 occasions from balcony to the jr. suite. It was great.
My sister did this same trip last Feb. I didn't hear any complaints, but not too much oohing and aahing either. It will probably be fine for the price--I know they got a fantastic deal.

The regular balcony room was only $100 cheaper than the so called JR Suite. The suite is not that much bigger but it comes with some "extra" amenities, so we decided to book the suite.
4 nights out of Tampa with 1 day stop in Cozumel, so check in on the first day, open seas on the second day, Cozumel on the 3rd day, open seas on the 4th day, and back home on the 5th day. Room and food for $1050 for both of us.
Not bad if I say so myself.
If anybody has been on this ship, can you post your impressions. I understand that this is one of the older ships but it has been well taken care of and it's still a very beautiful boat. They added a rock climbing wall so that is were I will be spending much of my time.
