RCL Voyager vs Princess Golden
 

We are looking to cruise the southern carribean next christmas and are trying to decide between the two boats. The ports are exactly the same. The money is very close. We are two families with four girls between us ranging from 7 - 14. What should we know about both boats to make this choice?

Never heard THAT definition for a boat before:

I have sailed the Golden and Explorer (similiar to Voyager). I am 33.

If the kids want ice skating, rock climbing, Johnny Rockets - definitley book the Voyager. There will also be more kids on the Voyager.

After saying that, I prefer Princess. I find the food more refined, I find less chaos on the ship and there will be kids on the ship. I have had several friends who have sailed the Grand class ships and their kids have definitely enjoyed the kids program.

I think you can't go wrong - my pick would be Princess but if the kids have sailed the Voyager class ship previously, they will probably be disappointed with the Golden. If they haven't, they will have a great time on the GOlden.

Heard Captain say "if you're on the boat, you're in trouble! Boats are those little things hanging over the sides, LOL." Having said that, I'm sailing on my 3rd Voyager class ship next month. The kids' programs are wonderful...they will love it. Also, the parades on the Promenade and the Ice Show are a real bonus.
