Beth,
My husband and I have cruised with them 7 times now and we had always had a wonderful time.
don't base your decision on a couple of bad responses. RCCL has ALWAYS been very accomadating with anything we had problems with.
You'll love the ship, it's incredible.
You can never make everyone happy.

Hi Rome, I'm glad to hear you had a better time than my wife and I. RCCL was not accomodating in any manner for us. Did you go on one of the longer cruises? I'm beginning to find out that the shorter cruises are the problem child of RCCL. The people that are happy have always been on ships that cruise for more than five days. I have a sneaking suspicion that like most companies there is more attention paid to the "dog star" than the old "cash cow". Rome, I assure you and others that are interested in RCCL that I would not spend this much time and effort if I did not feel seriously slighted. I have been in San Juan, Puerto Rico when there was gun fighting and a military presence in the streets as a result of some drug war, and still managed to have a good time. I am not against cruises, just poor service. And it seems to me and other people I have spoken with, that short cruises usually offer a lesser grade of service and amneties. Have a nice day.

Greg, if you reread my post, you will see that I never made a reference to "you get what you pay for". You were reluctant to name the ship. The name of the ship is useful for those contemplating that ship or for those who have specific information regarding that ship. You did name the ship and I think you were given some very useful information and it gave the rest of us some insight on your comments.

Hi Dawn,

Sorry, about the miscommunication on the comment, you get what you pay for. That was made by a person, "H.Simpson" previous to your post. Thank you for reminding me to name the ship, "Sovereign of the Seas" in my later comments. I know the original comment was for "Voyager of the Seas" by RCCL, but they're the same company. If they are going to use that as a barometer for the rest of their cruise line, then they should all meet up to the same standards. And yes, I have learned a great deal as a result of this web site encounter. Thanks
